A Plus Rides Okada, Declares Helicopters a Necessity for MPs Avoiding Traffic
World-renowned loudmouth and current MP for Gomoa Central, Kwame A Plus, after years of lambasting MPs for their flashy sirens and noisy convoys, has found himself eating his words—and a mouthful of Accra's lovely air pollution—while stuck in traffic on his way to Parliament. Desperation forced him to flag down an Okada, and according to witnesses, he clung to the rider like a toddler learning to walk. "This is not about hypocrisy," A Plus lamented on arrival. "This is survival! How can we govern a country when traffic treats us like mere mortals?"
The musician-turned MP, who once thrived on criticizing the excesses of politicians, had reportedly spent 45 minutes contemplating divine intervention, teleportation, and Elon Musk’s number. In the end, he grudgingly hailed an Okada, and after a near-miss with a trotro side mirror, the realization dawned on him that the true solution to MPs traffic woes went far beyond sirens, but lay in securing helicopters.
The irony of his proclamation was not lost on Ghanaians, many of whom remember A Plus as a champion of equality—or at least loud commentary on social media. But after basically admitting to his cluelessness before taking office and pleading for mercy from an unforgiving social media, A Plus explained:
"It's basic physics. How can I inaugurate a borehole in Gomoa Central at 9 a.m. and vote on e-levy in Parliament at 9:01 a.m.? We need teleportation devices, but since those are not currently available, a helicopter is an okay compromise."
